Weizenbock

8 ABV & 18 IBU’s

Woodchopper at first glance is a cloudy amber color. We brewed this beer with loads (50%) White Wheat and fermented with Bavarian Weizen Yeast.  The wheat attributes its cloudy aesthetic while the Weizen yeast provides a pleasantly super spiced nose with slight hints of banana coming through.  As you take your first sip this beer develops into baked banana bread goodness It is similar to our Saugeye Rye but considerably more complex in the malt profile and more of a clove spice prevailing. Tettnang hops help in accentuating the herbal spice in this Bavarian (German) style.
